Biography

I have always had a passion for leading healthy lifestyle from a young age being involved in various sports and physical activity. As I grew older I started to learn more about the benefits of exercise and this lead me to a career in the fitness industry. Having suffered with acute anxiety from a young age I also have a good understanding of what exercise has on mental health and this lead me to taking my experience and skills into working with patients in rehabilitation services in the NHS successfully implementing exercise referral programmes. I witnessed a great change in people with a wide range of severe mental health illnesses and associated physical health conditions and I aim to help anyone overcome any barriers to change to a healthier happier lifestyle.

Experience

I have over 13 years of experience of working in the health and fitness industry working on a one on one basis to group personal training in the gym, home and outdoor environments including boot camp fitness classes.

The last eight years I have been working in a Multi-Disciplinary Team consisting of Occupational Therapists, Doctors and Psychologists successfully creating programmes using exercise prescription to help clients who suffer from severe mental health problems and associated physical health conditions. I have recently added to my personal training qualifications with a GP referral instructor award.
