Biography

Highly experienced, with over 20 years’ experience as a Transformational Change and Organisation and People Development specialist within the Public Sector in the UK and Overseas.

Today, I focus on 'giving back', passing on my experience and knowledge to help people develop as better leaders, become the leaders of our future or simply guiding people through their own career changes and decision making.

I also support our next generation at the start of their careers, this includes preparation for interviews, CVs and helping them to develop their skill base.

Experience

I have over 20 years’ experience up to Senior level in the Public Sector, operating as a change specialist, leadership and people development and internal coach. Last year, I took a different direction, to follow new paths wanting to ‘give back’ my skills and experience to help others achieve performance and lasting change and build my platform as a Coach and Mentor.

I first undertook training as a Coach with The Coaching Academy in 2009 before acquiring my formal Certification (ACSTH) as a coach in 2014 with i-Coach Academy Accredited with EMCC) and continued my Professional Development since that time with the International Coaching Federation (ICF).

I am highly experienced at, and enjoy supporting emerging leaders, managers wanting to become leaders and the young next generation at the start of their careers. As both a Change Leader and Lead for Leadership and People Development, I combined the two, approaching Change holistically, taking a systemic approach to deliver sustainable change, involving everyone from bottom to top.

I created and worked with Senior Leadership Teams to increase their capability, as a team and as an individual, coaching them (and their teams) to adapt to change, raise performance and understand themselves, others and their impact as leaders. I designed and led successful initiatives to support and bring on our next generation workforce, training, supporting, developing and coaching them at the start of their careers. This included, provision of 1:1 coaching, designing and delivering skills workshops and development programmes (at all levels), provision of training in Employee Engagement techniques such as the use of powerful appreciative enquiry, upward leadership and empowerment to own their roles and career to have the confidence to succeed.

Operating at senior level as a Change Leader I brought a holistic, human and systemic approach to institutional complex change programmes, coaching teams and individuals to adapt to change and raise performance. I focussed on developing people to lead, manage and accept the change as a collective, to own it, engage with it and ultimately embrace it. I have experience working overseas in different countries, religions and cultures.

Throughout my career in the Public Sector my roles included providing expertise in Recruitment, Workforce Management, Communications, Stakeholder Management, Leading Change Programmes, Training, Senior Leadership Development, Workforce and Organisational Development.

Previously in the private sector, I specialised in recruitment and training within the UK and Canada.
