I am passionate about igniting hope into the lives of those with mental illness who have become convinced they'll just survive from now on rather than thrive and enjoy life. I have experienced a lot of trauma in my own life from childhood and through 10 yrs of an abusive marriage. I raised my son as a single parent while dealing with the mental health consequences of so much trauma. I was misdiagnosed by the sadly underfunded NHS mental health system for many years and felt hopeless but eventually went to a private therapist. She recognised I had Complex PTSD and through the hard work we did together hope returned and she taught me to effectively use the tools that enabled me to find inner stability and be able to self regulate when past triggers emerged. I gradually became a changed person who loved the life I live.

I have worked as a mental health mentor with individuals and as a group trainer for the past 20 years in London charities. As a mentor I will work with you to effectively build a toolbox that will enable you to regain hope, rebuild your self esteem and sense of worth, teach you anxiety management and a renewed inner stability that will gradually enable you also to live in the present and love the life you live. As a mentor I journey with you at your pace toward recovery - you will not be alone.
